Are you visiting with love and infection?

Communities such as ours are at a greater risk of infection outbreak because residents can be physically compromised and less able to shrug off an infection.

Norovirus and Clostridium difficile, among others, can cause significant distress and discomfort, and under the guidance issued to Homes such as ours, 2 suspected/confirmed cases constitute an outbreak.
The Home has to be closed to all admissions and visitors until all residents have been symptom-free for 48hrs, and in the case of Norovirus, the last person showing any signs must be symptom free for 72 hrs.
Once all clear, we have to carry out a deep clean on all areas of the Home.

For the duration of the closure, we know that relatives can become very distressed at being unable to visit.
With this in mind, please, if you have any signs of infection, don’t visit – stay home, get well.

Adult Dementia & Mental Health Care Home in the West Midlands

It is unlikely you would be reading this if you were not currently experiencing an emotional and quite difficult time in your life. You may be in the earliest stages of trying to find a permanent mental health care home for a family member or friend, or have done this before and now find yourself, for any number of reasons, having to relocate.

We have been doing this for long enough to know that no-one trips cheerily to the doors of a nursing home or relishes the prospect of giving up a much loved family home. We understand the issues that can be raised by placing someone in a care home are legion, and can have financial, emotional, legal and health implications for all concerned – not just the prospective resident.

It’s also doubtful that there’s much we can say at this stage that will make you feel any better about your situation, but we do care and we will help if we can. This team has a great deal of experience in dementia care and mental health care for adults, and we are willing and able to assist.

Please contact any of the senior team if you wish to discuss specific issues. If you would like to visit our nursing home in Worcestershire, West Midlands, UK, please do so at any time. There will always be someone available to show you round. There’s no need to make an appointment, but please remember that residents’ needs are our priority, so bear with us if it takes a few minutes to get to you!

We look forward to meeting you and wish you the very best in your search for a Home.
